Toddler bashed teeth

Hi, my 2 year old had a bad fall last week and landed on her front teeth on a tiled floor 😬. Her teeth are now wonky and one has started to go grey after the dentist said it had died. She is fine in herself and smiling/ being cheeky but I can't seem to move on from it. I am racked with guilt and worried about her teeth having to be taken out (there's a chance they may have to if she gets an infection) and stupidly, of her not having her 'perfect' smile anymore. Has anyone else exp this with their children? Did it affect them in anyway?
Xx

Hi
My eldest seem to bash her teeth regularly. She's face plant on wood floor while crawling, bash her mouth on climbing frames, slides you name it.

Her front teeth both went black and despite the dentist being all doom and gloom, one went ivory again and there is nothing wrong with her adult teeth.

She was a late bloomer and at 15 still has some baby teeth, which is a whole other issue.

I did feel bad at the time and you can see the colour difference in pictures, she isn't bothered at all and quite likes to hear the tales of her mishaps.

We had a similar incident where 1 year old DD smashed her mouth on slide, worst parenting moment to date, I was hysterical as at the time it looked like all 4 top front teeth had broken off at the gum line. Now 3.5, her teeth are chipped but not nearly as bad as first thought. They must have gone up into her gums on impact? Dentist said they can x-ray at 4 so just hoping adult teeth will be ok. Every time she falls now I panic about the teeth!!! X

My DS broke his two front teeth when he was 18 months old. We had then capped when he was around 2.5 as they looked pretty terrible. He is 6 now and you wouldn't know they are fake!

Ah thanks all! It's reassuring to know that a) I'm not the only one and b) that all your little ones (and their teeth!) are okay! I didn't realise you could gave baby teeth capped either! One of my daughter's is going darker, guess we'll just have to wait and see what happens with them! Thanks again x
