Stopping BF but toddler hates milk!

As the title says, I'm planning to stop BF my 2yo soon but the trouble is he hates milk! I've tried everything to get him to like it but point blank refuses it and spits it out gagging. I've tried plain milk, banana milk, Farleys rusk, coco pops cornflakes for breakfast, porridge and chocolate powder so he could get used to the texture of milk even though obviously I prefer plain milk and I know the chocolate alternatives are not healthy but he hates it anyway.

I don't know what I'm going to do as I want him to continue getting the good vitamins from milk once I stop Bf. He doesn't have a great diet anyway where I hide mashed veg in either pasta or rice and use bone marrow to prepare these meals and breakfast is just cucumber slices, 1-2 cubes of avocado, one large olive split into 5 small pieces and only a 1/4 of a toastie. Thank god he loves apples, strawberry's, oranges and watermelon slices and meatballs and fish. That's his diet for all day, every day of the week/month where I have to rotate every meal time all day, everyday of the week and month.

I really appreciate your advice on this, thank you in advance.

Wouldn't worry - plenty of dairy in his diet and a good multivitamin. If he was 1 I'd say continue trying but at 2 just ensure he has plenty of dairy and a multivitamin.

Does he really need it? My DC1 stopped BF at 15 months (stopped in the daytime months before) and has never drank milk, just plenty of cheese and yogurt and milk in porridge. I was apparently the same and an still not keen on milk!

Thank you for responding @DriftGames I guess he is never going to be the child that has a glass of milk or even cereal or maybe that might change in the future I hope. I'm a first time mum and panicking :/

I forgot to add- I used make him home made natural yogurt but haven't been able to for a while as I haven't seen my mum where she provides me some of her own home made natural yogurt to form the one I make at home but what I used to do is mix berries and bananas and give it to him as an alternative to pot fruit yogurt but for now, he has been happy with petit filous. I also hide feta cheese in his toastie or in his pasta where I mash that up as well and he enjoys halloumi cheese as well.

@bananamonkey Dh was formula fed and had cows milk until primary school I think mil said, I was bf until 2 as well but was given cows milk in a bottle or carton at playschool and I remember always having milk before bed as well until year 6 Grin my lo used to have some porridge in the mornings but that stopped around 18 months where he just spits it out. I try to add milk when I make pasta for him and use the milk to make sauce but apart from the yogurt, feta cheese and halloumi, he hardly has any. I guess he isn't going to ever have milk unless it changes when I give up bf and he might enjoy that but up until now, he never has liked milk/flavoured milk on cereal or on its own ever. Maybe I can try little carton milks as it associates with juice 🧃 but haven't seen them around for ages!

My kids were never big milk drinkers (all BF) I made sure we had dairy....cheese, yoghurt etc Tried to do milk based breakfast- wheatabix absorbs lots of milk, porridge, ready brek etc.
Try a cheese sauce/white sauce - lasagne, macaroni cheese, fish in white sauce...
Over the years mine have started to drink it a bit more.....but not like some kids I know.
(A warm frothy milk with a sprinkle of drinking powder on top - like a baby chino -was their first like of drinking milk. )
