4 month old milestones

I was just reading online what 4 month old babies should be able to do now and there’s a few things my DS has yet to master. He makes no attempts whatsoever to roll over, he does enjoy tummy time but I don’t do it every day so perhaps I should...
He also shows no interest in grabbing his feet, but he does love to stare at his own hands for ages and rub them together 😂
Everything else sounds ok- reaching, grabbing, babbling, smiling, looking at mirrors and faces. Just those two things. Anything I can do to encourage him onwards in his development or shall I just let him be?

I spent far too much time worrying about milestones and I wish I hadn’t! For context my DD didn’t roll front to back until 5 months, back to front at 8.5 months and didn’t grab her feet until 6 months! They do things in their own time. Smile

I’m not particularly worried, just wondered if I could do anything to help or if he sounded ok just doing what he’s doing

My DD just turned 6 months on Wednesday and she's just figured out rolling back to tummy on friday. She learned tummy to back last month but it was just to get out of tummy time I think😂 she also just recently grabbed her feet and forever in her mouth or pulling socks off to suck on them.

I think babies just figure it out themselves. You're doing tummy time which is great cause it builds up their strength. It's kinda amazing when their littles brains think "right today I'm gonna roll/sit/crawl"

Btw once they start rolling, there's no stopping them. She somehow rolls from one end of the room to another plus nappy changes are now interesting 🙈

I used to put a toy diagonal from his head and either squeak it or whatever noise it makes so he looked up and over if that makes sense. And I also put it just further than arms length away from his side so he would try to grab and it essentially roll over.
Hope that makes sense not the best at describing!

@Strawberries4days haha sounds fun 😂 he’s got brilliant neck control & strength and can hold himself up if we sit him against a cushion or something. Just not interested in rolling yet!

@PinkCookie11 thanks I’ll try that!
