Little Lamb or Motherease Sandy's for Day time

Hello

I'm looking at two part cotton nappies for day time and wondered what everyone thought about these two brands?

There isn't much in it in price but once you've bought enough of them the Little Lamb are cheaper. Motherease just always seems to be a favourite so can't decide between the two.

I guess I could have a few of both but wondered what other people have found.

I currently have some microfibre all in ones and hate that they leak under compression so looking to move to two part.

Also not against bamboo as have a tumble drier but would probably just keep bamboo for night time.

Thank you

Not tried sandys but I found that LL two parters came up really small on my tall, slim DD. By about 15 months the size twos (supposedly birth to potty) were so difficult to squeeze on that we switched to terries. So if your baby is on the higher centiles that's something to consider.

Sorry not birth to potty, they follow on from the smaller size 1s but they are supposed to last until potty training and were nowhere close. I'd also recommend trying the nippa fastening ones if you do choose LLs as the Velcro is a bit of a nuisance. Have you considered terries? I thought they'd be a nightmare but we get on with them really well. There are so many folds they're pretty adaptable as well as being cheaper, more 'forgiving' to wash and easier to dry.

I hated motherease, the fit just wasn’t right.

I had some nature babies stuffables which were amazing- just folded a terry nappy in and they poppered on like an all in one.

Things have probably moved on since I used reusables buy generally, for cost effectiveness and ease I couldn’t beat a folded terry under a nature babies wrap. I would have had all stuffables for convenience, but they ran much more expensive as you can get 2 or 3 changes out of one wrap so only needed to buy half as many.

I think it depends on your child's build. I loved Sandys for my very petit DD, she was in small Sandys until she was 2 years old. I found they fit perfectly and never had any leaks. At 2 I switched her to little lambs 2 parters because they were cheaper than Sandys.

My chunkier son however never fit Sandy's right, even though they were the correct size for him they didn't seem right for his build. I used little lambs size 1s from about 8 months with him and moved to size 2s at about a year old. I do prefer the little lamb wraps, especially for a boy as they seem to fit under trousers better than the motherease.
