Not sure I want to hear the answers to these questions but here goes...

Which age did you find your child to be more challenging with temper tantrums etc? 2 years old or 3 years old or any other age?

@ThatOtherPoster

3.5 is the devil’s age. They get so bossy.
Love love love three year olds.

I work with children and 3-4 is fabulous, if my
all time favourite is the 4-5 year olds ... they're just superb 💙

CarlottaValdez · 06/04/2021 15:36

Mine was a cherub at 2 and 3 then a total arse at 4. He’s nice again at 6.

AegonT · 06/04/2021 20:26

The tantrums and attitude were worse at 3 but it was still much easier than 2 because potty training was long done, she slept well again (didn't at 2 for some reason) and was more independent.

My first -4 and my second 2....although he is still too so it may change to 3,4,5...

Mamimawr · 06/04/2021 20:29
  1. It was the same with all three of them.
Lotsachocolateplease · 06/04/2021 20:30

@Temp023 is right
If you think age 2 or 3 is hard just wait until they’re teenagers. It’s on another level.

PolarnOPirate · 06/04/2021 20:32

Out of those two, 2.

In my experience it goes:
Terrible twos
Threenager
Fuck-you fours
Hope-you-get-out-alive fives

Apparently they’re fixed by 6!

Having said that, my current 3 year old is utterly divine and all of them have been mainly lovely. The utter and absolute rage of a 5 year old boy though....!!!!!! May have been compounded by lockdowns but OMG the fury.....

Immaback · 06/04/2021 20:32

*Still two not too Confused

MarshaBradyo · 06/04/2021 20:32

3 is very determined - when they want something a particular way

The teen is easy here though remarkably!

Fromneverland · 06/04/2021 20:33

Awful.

ShinyGreenElephant · 06/04/2021 20:36

Dd1 never really had toddler tantrums, shes now 12 and weve had some corkers when shes due on! Dd2 is 2.5 and definitely in tantrum mode although still pleasant the vast majority of the time so maybe this is just the warm up...

Enidblyton1 · 06/04/2021 20:36

Both!
Between 2nd and 4th birthdays was awful. Mine were angels by 4, but it was a long couple of years to get to that stage.
Yet to reach the teenage years...

EffOffCovid · 06/04/2021 20:43

My older children grew devil horns started tantrums that were worse at 2. Youngest is nearly 2 and we have nick named him the Tasmanian devil. He's the angriest of the three and threw an empty coffee mug at my knee today. Communicates mainly in monster noises.

OlivesTree · 06/04/2021 20:45

Whomever coined the phrase ‘terrible twos’ had clearly never experienced the fucking awful threes.

lovemenomore · 06/04/2021 20:49

3 defo. DD was so determined and couldn't reason with like I could at 2!

BobBobBobbin · 06/04/2021 20:50

Most of the times when I just wanted to cry in desperation have been when my children were two.

Siennabear · 06/04/2021 20:50

tubbycustardtummyache · 06/04/2021 20:52

I suspect I will look back at 2 and 3 as a total breeze once we reach the teenage years with 2 girls!

riddles26 · 06/04/2021 20:58

@Shosha1

As a childcare for 40 odd years, I would categorically say the eorrst time us the 6 months before they start school. Especially for Autumn, Winter born children ( and girls seem to be worse than boys). At least it stops when they get to school. 😁😁😁😁

You're giving me hope things will get better as my Autumn born DD who starts school in Sept is driving me crazy at the moment! Really hoping it improves soon...

3 was worse with DD, but only the first half of being 3. From about 3.5 she was lovely.

tanqueray10 · 07/04/2021 06:56

Threenagers are the worst!!!

Mol1628 · 07/04/2021 06:57

Two. At 3 they get their 15 hours at nursery so I could get away from them!

Agree with a PP though they’re generally a pain in the arse till about 6.

2 without a doubt. I mostly loved age 3 and 4 was even better.
