Starting nursery

I have a 16 month son and I'm due a baby girl in May. I was going to put my son into nursery this year but put it off due to covid. But now I'm pregnant and doing online school so I feel guilty putting him in nursery when I'm at home anyway but then also it's going to be hard with a toddler and a newborn. My husband works full time and I'm a student in uni. My son also has lung issues so I don't want to put him at a higher risk but I also feel I need a break.

I have a 16mo and due 2nd any day. We have a nursery booked for the older, for now he is with a nanny. Could you do a nanny too perhaps? It would be less of a risk health-wise, you would get a break (I think you will need it) and the older one would get some entertainment.

I also feel guilty but then I remember the older one had me all to himself for 1,5 years and he does enjoy outside time and seeing other people too. Plus my mental health is essential to make the circus work hence nursery it is.

I'd say try a nanny, see how it goes. Still better than being dead tired having the older one sit in front of a screen at home just so he is "with you".
