Help! Baby cries and squirms after feeds.. Dentinox.. Infacol?

Hi all,

I'm looking for some advice I'm a new mum to twins since Jan 21 they were born at 35 weeks via planned section due to my baby girl being breech. I exclusively breast fed for 2.5 weeks but after being admitted back into hospital with an infection on the lining of my womb and feeling petty damn ill and crap I introduced formula feeding so my fiancé & family could help me out. After painful days of reflux, crying, mucas poo explosions both twins are now on nutrimigen 1 LGG for intolerance to cows milk protein and also it's lactose free.

My little girl although now on the nutrimigen is still screaming and crying inconsolably after feeds.. I see many people using coleif however it looks as If the main purpose of coleif is to break down the lactose however with the nutrimigen it's lactose free therefore this won't benefit her at all.

Can anyone recommend anything I can give her that might help with her struggling after feeds? I tried Infacol previously with my little boy but it didn't seem to make alot of difference. I've seen dentinox but it has mixed reviews.

Does this period pass? Any help or advice would be much appreciated, it's very hard to see her struggling like this and it really gets me down especially as they were fine when I was breastfeeding so on top of it all I am just full with guilt and blame myself for them hurting and feel so helpless. Sad

If it's CMPA she may need a completely DF formula but I'd also have a look in the Premature Birth Section as it could be the general unsettled phase that some premature babies can get.

Congratulations on your twins too Thanks

Hi,
Great I'll have a look as you say & thank you! Without wishing their life away I just wish this phase would pass so I could really enjoy being a mum with them! Xx

Congratulations! I think nutramigen is broken down but it not totally, I think neocate is the one that is totally broken down (amino acid formula), I would speak to a paediatrician
