We're being induced in a couple of weeks eeeek!

I wondered if you anyone had any tips or how to cope and manage or things we need our 1 year to get used to now.

Definitely get a white noise machine if you don’t already have one.
If you didn’t get a bath seat for your first child, then make sure you definitely get one for your second! It means you have your hands free so that you can wash your baby and your toddler at the same time.
Save yourself from traipsing up and down the stairs with both dc in tow and get a changing station for each floor of your house. Buy a really cheap changing mat and stash it underneath your sofa to keep things tidy.
Get a good Thermos mug - the chances of you finishing a hot drink before it cools down to room temperature are slim to none.
Even if you already have a baby monitor, you’ll want to consider upgrading to a monitor that supports two cameras.
Put together a ‘busy box’ with some toys which will occupy your eldest when you’re feeding your baby.
Consider getting a high chair which supports a newborn so you can put the baby in it without worrying about your eldest poking its eyes out. Useful when you need to pee.

A sling or carrier and a good double Pram are essential imo.
Agree with pp about the bath seat.
Stash away a few new toys your 1 year old would love so you can bring something novel out for 'emergency distraction'.
Download or make a playlist of fun toddler songs you can pop on anytime.

Also - I kept a bouncer for baby in the kitchen and bathroom so you have somewhere to pop him down for a few minutes safely.

13 month gap here. I stuck to a pretty strict routine with naps etc, lay clothes and nappies out the night before, new toys for eldest, put baby in the sling, used the double buggy daily. It's very tough at times but the baby seems to have learnt self settling techniques because there's been times she's had to wait while I deal with her brother.
