Notice that my one year old has an overbite. Is this common with children her age? I know her mouth will still be developing etc but just concerned.

I'd take her to the Dentist with you next time you have your check-up and ask their opinion on it. Much more qualified than MN Smile

I think it's normal, my son had one but seems not to so much now he's bigger. Does he or she suck their thumb? I know this can affect it.

Do you mean overbite or overjet?
An overjet is common in toddlers as the upper and lower jaws grow at different rates this usually corrects as the growth catches up. An overbite is more unusual.

Dunno if it is overbite or overjet! Unfortunately where i am the dentists are only open to emergencies but will take her when they reopen for routine appointments.

Overbite is up/down. Overjet is front/back (when teeth stick out) When you go they will just monitor so there is no urgency.
All dental practices are open for emergencies and most are trying to carry out some check ups but with the current rules we have to follow, plus enormous backlogs of overdue check ups we are very behind and are working at a reduced capacity. I'm currently seeing less than 50% of the people I would see pre Covid and this won't change until the Chief Dental Officers of England/Scotland and Wales change the guidelines. Practices with any NHS commitment have to follow them.
