BMW 2 Gran Tourer and LR Discovery Sprot - Can you fit Isofix in third row?

Hello! We are in the process of searching for a bigger car before Baby Boy 3 arrives in August. I keep coming back to the BMW 2 Series Gran Tourer, but just yesterday I was told by the dealership that there are no Isofix points in the third row. I was wondering if anyone has had Isofix points retroactively fitted to their Gran Tourer and how much that cost roughly?

Also seems to be an issue with the other car we are considering, the Discovery Sport. So if anyone has fit Isofix to the third row in a Discovery Sport, that would be helpful too!

Can't help you with the BMW but there are no isofix points on the third row of a Discovery Sport. I don't use the third row very often (even less due to Covid!) but it's quite a small space and I think it's really only suitable for short journeys/emergencies - my 12 year old doesn't fit there anymore and the 8 year old is pretty squashed too. If you use the 3rd row then the boot space all but disappears - you can get a couple of coats in but certainly not a buggy or any amount of shopping.
A friend has an XC90 and the third row of that is much more useful/spacious - bit I don't know if it has isofix?

@SaffyWall Thanks for that! It's so tough, isn't it! My little ones will be 4.5, 3, and newborn, so still short legs! lol

Getting such a headache looking at cars! ah! But thank you for your advice. :)

I've just remembered that someone at work has the BMW - she has 4 children (13, 11, 10 & 7) and two labradors; so I'm guessing that's a pretty spacious car! I can't help you with your question about the isofix points though!

I wouldn't want to put any children of that age in the back row of the LR Disc Sport on a regular basis. The seats are narrow and feel relatively flimsy and they're low down so it's hard for little children to see out of the window. Also, if you want to get a pushchair in, you'd only be able to have one of the seats in the third row up but then they've got no protection really from
stuff in the boot falling on them.
