Bit of a silly question but... ds2 has the beginnings of nappy rash as he's teething at the mo, I have silk liners which are supposed to help, but do I use a paper liner as well? If not, what about the poo?!!

No the silk needs to be next to the skin to work, just shake off any poo into the toilet and then wash

thanks curlywurly, does shaking work with sloppy, just started weaning 'interesting' poo though?!! I have visions of shaking and just ending up with the liner stuck to my hand while ds2 rolls off down the landing!!

When dd has a bout of nappy rash, we just use the silk liner in her overnight nappy and soak it in camomile and honey tea first. This seems to work like a miracle and dd's botom is clear in the morning, meaning that we dont need to use the silk in the day and go back to a fleece or paper liner.

can you run a shower attachment from the bath over to the loo and use that? that's what we did when we used fleece liners.

I just tend to do the same as Tubbs.

(Oh, and rinsing is normally easiest with the baby put ba ck in the cot or something )

Thanks for the suggestions!! Think I have some camomile tea in the cupboard so I'll go and search it out!
