My almost 7 month old was born not bald but had very little hair and cradle cap lasted a few months but has now gone. He has hair now growing nicely but only seems to be on middle and back and not at the front sides? Did anyone else have this and when did the front start to grow

That’s normal. Fine hair or super curly hair often takes longer to grow.

Yes, my daughter was like this until she was about 18 months and then she began sprouting masses of curls Grin My mum says I was the same and I'm also naturally curly, my best friends little girl also the same thing, bald for months then curls galore! Any natural curls or waves in yours or dp families? Smile

Ok thanks and no natural curves in our family no we have fine hair as does my eldest

Yes fine hair does take longer to come in. DN has really glossy fine hair but lots of it and he was almost bald until 13 months. I don’t think he had a full head of hair until he was almost 3 but then it looked lovely.

I have dt when they were born both had a reasonable amount of hair, dt2s hair fell out (which is quite normal) and was very slow to grow back, Dt1s hair never fell out and grew rapidly. Dt1 needed hair cutting well before 1st birthday, dt2 was nearly 2 before needing first hair cut. Now aged 12 you wouldn't know. Every child is different.

One of my dds had very little hair until she was about 3 - normal hair now (and pretty thick and straight).
