Calcium & milk questions - FTM!

I’ve really confused myself here.

My boy turned 1 last week. He had dropped his milk feeds a few months ago and recently he’d been having around 8oz in the morning and refusing his night bottle, having maybe 1oz. No milk during the day, but yogurt as pud after 2 of his meals.

His dad has been giving him a bottle the last few mornings and he’s been having around 300ml in one go. This equates to 380mg calcium - so is that his requirements done for the day? Does he need more milk? He used to show some interest her he’s not keen in milk from a cup now, though he downs water from it no problem. Should I persist or is the morning feed enough?

I’ve had such conflicting info from various sources, I just worry about what I am doing!

NHS advice is 350ml milk or from 2 portions of milk based food I think.

My DD reduced his milk intake when we moved to a cup but then it picked up when he realised there was no more bottles.

Thanks.

I’m just not sure if milk is specifically mentioned for hydration purposes?

I think once they're drinking water well it's ok - I think the milk is for the calcium and fat content more than anything else.

He doesn’t actually need milk. He needs 350 mg of calcium, that 3 portions a day. Obviously he needs to be drinking water too.

The NHS recommends getting rid of bottles when they turn 1.
