Storing & Preparing - Breastfeeding

Hello, I am wondering if someone can help me I’m not sure on the storing and preparing of breast milk. So for example, if I expressed milk into a bottle and put that in the fridge, it says you can store for 3-4 days, what I want to know is would you then feed your baby out of that same bottle or do you transfer it to a new sterile bottle?

Any advise/help is much appreciated!

Thanks
Laura

Try looking at this page: kellymom.com/bf/pumpingmoms/milkstorage/milkstorage/

6 6 6 rule for breastmilk. 6 hours room temp. 6 days in the fridge. 6 months in the freezer. It’s the same as any other kind of milk.

This is a good guide but ignore the best before date nonsense.

You can feed it from that bottle you would just need to put a sterilised teat on.

I always did same bottle, and either sqme teat or different whatever i had to hand.

But I never worried about sterilising that much with breastmilk, maybe sterilised everything once a week and just washed as normal in between.

the main concern for sterilising is the formula powder.

You don't need to sterilise bottles or pumps for breast milk, just wash it in hot soapy water. And you can keep your pump parts in a ziplock bag in the fridge and just wash them once a day.
