Daytime naps when too big for the Moses basket?!

Just that really ^^

My LO is pretty much almost outgrown their Moses basket which was used for downstairs naps. There is a snuzpod upstairs for bed time sleeping but I really don’t fancy taking it up and down stairs for naps. LO is 3 months old.

What does your LO sleep in for day time naps?

Lie flat buggy, bouncer chair, playmat, changing mat on the floor with blanket on it, take a cuppa and book upstairs for one of the naps and put baby in the snuzzpod.

We had a Tiny Love 3 in 1 Napper for dc2 which lasted till around 6 months for sleep and 8months as a seat. I'd probably not get one now as half the time has gone - unless you can find a second hand one.

Me 😂

I'm in this predicament too! I didn't know whether to buy a travel cot!

Bouncer, swing, pram, sofa, lap, cushion on the floor.

PeacefulInTheDeep · 25/02/2021 09:35

Both of mine slept in the carrycot from the pram for daytime naps. I just had it on the floor in whichever room I was in.

A travel cot is an inexpensive option, and will be handy in future if you plan on overnight stays with family etc or holidays.

Playpen , surely you will need one in your living area anyway.

I never had a playpen
Mummaofboys93 · 25/02/2021 10:58

Swingchair or sofa are where mine slept once they outgrew their moses baskets. I'd just put a pillow on the edge of the sofa as neither of mine liked too much open space to sleep they liked to feel surrounded by something.

Potterythrowdown · 25/02/2021 11:44

Play mat, pram carry cot, bouncy chair or most likely, me.

mindutopia · 25/02/2021 12:54

On me, in a sling, on a mat on the floor, on the sofa (with me sitting right next to them, this is before they could roll), in bed with me, in the car or pushchair or carrycot. Generally, it was in the sling or in the pushchair or in the car if we were going somewhere. Mine never really slept upstairs in the cot because I didn't want to be stuck at home or get them used to needing dark and quiet for naps.

MariaDingbat · 25/02/2021 14:46

Mine has always napped on either me or a sheepskin rug (with a muslin on top). Not sure what we'll do when she starts crawling though.

hellolittlebaby · 25/02/2021 14:49

On me/in my arms.

Pram in our living room.

As she got to around 5 months, I'd transfer her to the snuz upstairs. At first I stayed in the room with her, then I braved leaving her 🤭

dementedpixie · 25/02/2021 14:50

Reclined buggy or carry cot of the pram
Never had a playpen either

hellolittlebaby · 25/02/2021 14:51

Oh yeah totally forgot we had a "pod thing" -- I'd feed her to sleep and then I'd have it next to me and put her in it when she was deep asleep. She didn't roll and I wouldn't leave her anyway.

Thank you for the suggestions I will definitely be trying some out!

We always get a travel cot. Bassine5s are only goot to 9kg but the bigger part usually to 15kg (some are more).
They're great when they're a bit older and you need to get stuff done around the house, a safe place to pop them to play or sleep.

MouthAche · 27/02/2021 00:20

A travel cot.

But i suggest buying a proper mattress to fit it for much more comfort
