Meal ideas for a very fussy 6 year old

Just that, really. My 6 year old daughter is very fussy and will only eat the same few meals on rotation. Can anyone recommend anything? She doesn't eat red meat or spicy food.

What meals will she eat?

Use those as a base and change an element to encourage her to try new things.

Also, letting her serve herself from a choice of things gives some control. Try and keep most things familiar, but add a couple of new things going not the choice.

She will eat Pasta but only with tomato sauce, Chicken casserole, Pizza, Beans on toast, and sometimes breaded fish and that's about it.

So you could mix and match a bit - pop some chopped chicken in the pasta, make a chicken casserole using a tomato sauce, bread crumb some chicken and have it with plain pasta etc From there you can change things a bit more - pasta with a different sauce, a different type of casserole etc.

Add in some veg - cooked or raw - on the side. Just tiny amounts, and don't make a fuss about it. Just keep putting it there.

@Seeline Thank you, that's really helpful.

What about doing parts of the meal you know she'll eat combined with new things? So pizza but with new toppings, pasta with tomato sauce and olives (or whatever), pasta with cheese and butter and peas instead of the tomato sauce, roast chicken in a sauce similar to casserole but different veg, etc. Also, realistically, what happens if you serve a meal she doesn't like? I do meals I know mine don't like regularly. They don't eat much of it, but there is usually at least one bit they'll sort of eat. But they know they won't get anything else, so will usually begrudgingly eat more than they might actually want to.

There's some tomato risotto recipes on Good Food which might work if she likes tomato based things. You could even try orzo instead as it's a pasta.

If she likes breaded fish you could try making your own chicken goujons and maybe potato wedges to go with them. Then you could potentially share some of the wedges and have a different main.

I've tried a seafood orzo stew with my LO as she likes seafood. One pot meals like that make my life easier. Maybe a tuna pasta bake for all of you and she could put the cheese on top so she feels like she's helping.
