Full time Uni - Opinions/Experiences

Looking for some opinions/experiences on anyone that’s had a baby and decided to go to uni full time. What would I be in for with the practicality of it all and the financial aspect? My baby is 15 weeks now but it would be next September. I am only 22 but own my own house with a mortgage with my partner we both usually work full time but the plan would have been for me to go back to work part time but I really would love to go to uni to do my midwifery course. Would this just be completely impossible and selfish?

The only question really is whether you can afford the childcare. I did a PhD after I had my first. You have to treat it like a job. You'll need childcare for the days when you are 'working' and you'll probably need to put in some extra time evenings and weekends. If you aren't bring in an income, can you and your partner afford the childcare for the days when you will be doing your course and/or do you have family who can provide childcare for free? And are you self-motivated enough to work in the evenings, after putting your baby to bed, or will you burn out?

I don't think it's selfish at all. No one thinks working for a living is selfish and this is no different. It's just about thinking about the practicalities of affording it all. I honestly found it no different to having a job. I worked on it 9-5 while my dc was in nursery and then occasional evenings and weekends when I was particularly busy.
