Help - weaning one year old

Hi, I’m planning to start weaning my one year old soon (she’s nearly 13 months) but I’m not sure how to go about it.

There’s no major rush, but I’d like to have her finish breastfeeding by the time she’s about 18 months as that’s when I’m returning to work full time and I don’t want to have to worry about feeding when I start my new job.

I realise what a privilege I have in having been able to breastfeed exclusively for so long (one upside of Covid), but now I think it’s time to gradually stop. My daughter has never taken a bottle or any other form of milk (except with her Cheerios) so I don’t know if that will make it harder? She’s a huge comfort eater - she still occasionally feeds to sleep in the evening, and loves it for naps, and when she feels poorly/sad. I do love feeding (although occasionally wish I had more freedom from her), but I just think it’s time to start preparing for the end of it all sadly. Her dad isn’t about to help, so any tips for weaning solo would be extra helpful!

Any tips or methods other breastfeeding mums used to help gradually wean an older baby? Thank you!xxx

I stopped breastfeeding my daughter when she was 9 months old then I started giving cows milk also weaning her with surprisingly home cooked fresh food but into vegetable gravy as I was a vegetarian and she loved it! You can buy nice baby food and desserts in Sainsburys until they are not 12 then they can have solid food when they can chew.
Good luck mum all the best to you
