Ello

Seeing as you used pins before, I'm guessing you are open to the idea of nippas (modern pins) which will save you money in the long run because you can get a much better fit with size 2 folded down.

I would say cotton or microfibre so you don't have to tumble (which would cost more). I prefer cotton myself....

You should be able to get away with about 16 at this age because she's pooing less.

For me, I would say nippa fastening bumbles - they give a good fit, have a built in liner so you don't have to worry about those if you don't want to, a nice stretch to them, and don't take too long to dry. They are easy to add extra padding to for night use too.

If you're ok with longer drying, then go for bambinex - again, the nippa size 2 - you would be very unlikely to need to buy another size even when she is at potty training (some of the size 2s run out just before). They are bamboo though so they take lots longer to dry.

You need wraps with both of those - motherease are the most reliable waterproof wraps, wool is much more breathable. 4-6 wraps is about right for washing every 2-3 days.

Liners - you have either built in ones with bumbles, disposable one which you flush away, or fleece reusable ones that you wash. It really depends how much poo contact you want - if you want minimal contact, go with the disposable.

You can get pocket nappies and all in ones too which go on as one piece so no seperate nappy and wrap - Nappyzone will be along in a minute, she looooooooooooooves pockets so tends to be better at promoting them

How's your DD doing now? (I'm on Phoenix's postnatal thread)

Tots are fine - if you can get them cheap, then go for it!!!!
