Does baby need a pram suit?

It’s going to be 15C on Saturday. Does my baby (10 months) need to wear a pram suit in addition to his footmuff when out in the pram and sitting on a rug in the park?

Baby should be wearing one more layer than you. So if you're in top, jumper, coat, baby should be wearing vest, top, jumper, pramsuit.

This week I’ve just been putting DS in a coat rather than 3 layers on his legs of trousers, pram suit and foot muff.

Thanks. I personally hate pram suits, it feels like DS can barely move in them because of all the padding.

I took DS out today and when we got back home, I took his hat off and he had sweaty hair Sad

My baby is always so sweaty in her snowsuit (and she has one that is quite thin!). If we get 15 degrees I’d probably consider putting her in a thick hooded cardigan with a blanket over through the day while the sun is out. You could always just stick the pram suit in the basket under the pram for he gets a bit chilly

I hate using the pram suit and baby doesn't particularly like it either, poor lamb can't move.
So I've taken to using a thick grow bag (those sleeping bag things for night time) the layers go long sleeve vest, baby grow, cardi/coat (various thickness depending on temp) then he goes in his grow bag then a blanket and then into the foot muff. Granted his arms don't have as many layers but if it's windy I pop the rain cover on and it's like a green house in there.
When it was absolutely freezing I did use a pram suit though with the rain cover on to keep the heat in.
It was great in the pram but I had to modify the straps in the pushchair for this set up though as the bit that goes through the middle of the legs can't be used with a grow bag. So the straps go just over the shoulders and I've applied velcro to his grow bag and the inside of the foot muff. Once he's in he's quite secure!

I didn't even own a pram suit so not essential. I just layered up and checked temperature regularly.
