Baby outgrown baby bath and we only have a shower

My little girl is 5 months and has now outgrown her baby bath. She absolutely loves her bath so I feel a bit guilty now that I can’t give her one every night.

I have tried to take her in the shower with me but she just screams the house down. I have also tried putting a bath seat in the shower and lying her on this and showering her but again she hates it.

Iv looked at these pop up baths but we really don’t have that big a bathroom for storage.

Anyone any advice on what you do with your babies when you only have a shower or any products I could try?

Thanks!

But a bigger baby bath, there’s plenty on the market, foldable ones as well to store when not in use. My 2 year old still fits in one.

Flexy tub or bigger baby bath. They don't need to be able to lie down, it won't be long before she can sit up in a tub or baby bath, you can rinse with the shower.

You can get inflatable ones that are the size of a standard shower tray, I use ours for camping with my two. I believe ours was from Amazon, like this
Bestway Inflatable Baby Bath Tub for Home and Travel www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B00D4A9DLU/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_fabc_8YYKCTX410Q7GP7SWFMJ?psc=1&_encoding=UTF8&tag=mumsnetforu03-21

Simply search for inflatable bath tubs online, lots available from baby to adult size.
Paddling pools are very thin on the bottom so not very comfy on a hard floor.

How cute will your baby look in that gardening bucket Grin

I bathed mine in the kitchen sink when they were that age, so another vote for that.

Mine loaded to bathe in the kitchen sink. It's so easy and nothing to store.

Could this work in the shower?

@AuditAngel

We just had a John Lewis baby bath and DS was in it until 2.5 when we moved to a house with a bath.
We had that one too, used it until DS was 2 and wanted “a bath that is deep like a swimming pool”.

When we had our bathroom redone and had to use the downstairs one we used those soft flexi tubs for them side by side in the shower. They loved them!

Hello. What bath do you use?))) I think it is really good. We are waiting for a child and want to prepare everything and buy all the required things. As I understand it cna be hard to teach a child to wash in a shower. But I've seen bath seats at totwears.com/baby-care/baby-bath-tub/. I think it can be a good choice if you want your child to wash in a shower. I've seen such seats. They are not too big and can be easily placed in a shower cabin or in the bathroom.

My 30 month old still baths in the Ikea baby bath. He has to sit up in it now but can still play and is happy enough. We are using it atm because it is quicker and uses less water than filling the tub for his pre-bed bath. :)

We gave my DS a mix of showers and baths since he was 2 weeks old and he still fits in his bath at 16 mths lol. No harm in it if you hold her firmly and check the temp in advance.
