Sending children back to school

I live in Wales and so two of my children have been invited back to school after half term. They are 3 and 5. I am worried about the practicality of this as I have 3 other children (8,9,16) and I will have to do 3 school runs whilst homeschooling them and doing work around the house. Should I send them back?

I think school runs take priority over doing work round the house, but if the logistics are just overwhelming then no, don't kill yourself or compromise the older ones' schooling for it.

Could you send 3 year old all their hours and 5 year old part time? Could your eldest could do one of the runs as their daily exercise? It's a job in itself to get our 14yo out of the house!

The 16 year old can supervise the others while you do the school run.

Surely when schools are open you manage.

Yeah, that might be a good plan! My 16 year olds lunch break falls right when my 3 year old needs picking up. Hopefully I can persuade him to go and get her! Thank you!

I worry about leaving my 16 year old with the younger two when they’ve got online lessons as when they need help they want your full attention and as soon as they ask (I hope that doesn’t make them sound spoilt but one of them is autistic and generally needs a lot of attention whist working). Obviously I normally manage with school runs and housework easy enough, it’s just the added stress of homeschool that was worrying me!
