Have DS 2 9months now, first potty trained at 25months, he got it almost straight away, however he got ill almost straight after and regressed, which was fine. But recently I seem to continually doing potty training. He was fab over the summer always asking me to go to the loo and there were no accidents and then he started Nursery School and they ask him continually if he wants to go to the loo and then make him go after snack. I now have to do potty training almost every week. I think he thinks that he doesn't have to remember as someone else will. Has anyone else had this problem and how do you deal with it? If it is the school how do I deal with them as I understand they have their routine but it is actually making quite an impact on my relationship with my son as he feels I am constantly telling him not to pee in his pants and he is getting fed up. Or am I wrong and it has nothing to do with his school.

HOw are things going now ?

29 months is still quite young, it's easier when they know exactly which adult to talk to (mum) and where the toilet is, and there aren't so many distractions and competing demands (like there are at school). I think a bumpy unpredictable ride with toilet training is pretty common.

School has to deal with him in their time, you in yours, I would think.

Thanks lljjkk, but he is 2 years 9 months and I know he isn't listening to me, but if I don't say anything he just thinks it's ok. I have asked the school not to ask him all the time and to ask him after snack if he needs to go rather than just dragging him off to the loo and things are improving slightly. But you see over half term he asked me everytime he needed to go to the loo and we had no accidents at all. I know I'm bugging him to death but I don't want to use bribery or rewards as he really does know what he should be doing.
