Changing baby’s name

Hello! My daughter is called Sophia. We chose this name due to the practicality of the pronunciation, since my husband and I are from different nationalities. The fact is that I always preferred Sophie, and now, although I call her Sophi, I would like to change her name on the birth certificate (and passport 🤯). She is 4 months old and we have already introduced her as Sophia.
Is this craziness?

Please, no judgments.

Thanks.

Just call her sophi is just a nick name.

What does your husband think?

Seems a lot of effort and probably money just to remove a letter.

If I really want to go ahead, he’ll support me. I know it's such a hassle, money involved, but I can’t see her as Sophia, but Sophie. If wasn’t by the “social embarrassment” and my awareness that it is something we shouldn’t do, I had already done; then I can’t stop wondering whether it’s should be a reason to stop me. First world problems, I know, but keeps bothering me.

Just use Sophie. In time she may be Soph.. Lots of dc and have versions of their actual name. My ds has used a nn nothing remotely like his name for over 6 years.

If you want to change them do, if it really means a lot to you. You have until they are 13 months to do the birth certificate I think.
