good books for toddler parenting?

I'm sure this message has been repeated loads of times, but can anyone recommend good books on toddler parenting. My dd is about to turn 1 and I need a new manual ! I have found 'what to expect' quite helpful for the first year (even if you have to take some of it with a pinch of salt), the dr sears one to some extent, and also a miriam stoppard one on play (plus numerous sleep books, but let's not go there!). I hear that the what to expect for toddlers is crap though...
I quite like to have a few books covering a range of perspectives and then I can see what makes sense to me from the options, if that makes any sense.
Any recommendations?

Toddler Taming by Christopher Green is a pretty standard book on the subject. I am reading the NCT guide to Toddler Tantrums which is fab I think.

Have just put Toddler Taming on the for sale Board if you're interested.

Would have been lost without it!

For a bigger picture - I like the Raising Girls / Raising Boys books by Steve Biddulph (sp.)

Toddler Taming partly because it made me laugh so much, and also for the plain common sense advice.

Thanks for all the responses and sorry this thanks is so late - my mummybrain completely forgot I'd posted the message . Will defo get toddler taming and have a look at the others too. I'd never heard of the sale bit of the site (I'm sounding a bit dim, aren't I?!) , but if I can work it out may get toddler taming from you connortraceptive!

I like Alfie Kohn Unconditional Parenting

I've met people who swear by Playful Parenting by somebody Cohen.

And for a really radical approach, the Taking Children Seriously site, although it's pretty dead, has lots of interesting articles and discussions archived on it.

'The Mighty Toddler' by Robin Barker - it just makes you feel that everything is normal.

How to Talk so Kids Will Listen, and Listen so Kids Will Talk - lots of good stuff, am halfway through it at the moment and it has already helped me stop some tantrums happening.

And another vote for Toddler Taming - it's brill.
