Ideas to make half-term lockdown different from every other day?!

I have a 2 yr old and a 5 yr old; I’m a SAHM and we are homeschooling. Half term is looming, and I’m trying to think of fun things we can do to make the week different. Husband has a week of annual leave booked, so we have two adult pairs of hands available (already onto a winner), does anyone have any great ideas for themed days or activities that will take a while? (I.e. not painting, play-dough or going for a damn walk!)

So far I’m thinking:
PJ/movie day
Sleepovers in each other’s bedrooms
Kids choose all the meals for one day

Also 2 yr old’s birthday falls in half term, so thinking about hiring a ball pit to fill the lounge for a day!

Help!

My girls are 6 months younger than yours and I’m wondering this or if we should just carry on as normal.

I would suggest you split a couple of day so you and DH can each have a couple of half days off.

The weather is awful at the moment but maybe national trust day out - I can’t face that at the moment as it’s too cold. How about a theme day? Italian maybe - say learn a few words, watch go jetted in Italy, Italian music, colouring in a couple of flags.

I think with those ages they can often jump from activity to activity.

Make something with large cardboard boxes. Mine love a cardboard box.

It’s pancake and you could have a belated Valentine’s Day and Chinese New Year celebration.

Virtual travel!
Different country each day. Croissants for breakfast in France, learn a few French words. On another day have a Chinese takeaway and do some related activity.
Can do themed art and crafts, listen to different music, learn a couple of facts about each country, do some silly, fun at home versions of the things you might do if you were really on holiday there. Maybe make model boats and float them on a "canal" for Venice? Freeze toys in ice for visiting Antartica?

Build a den and camp in the living room.
