Hi, looking for recommendations for honeymoon destination for next May, our little girl will be just under 2. Thanks 😊

I'd reframe it in your head - it won't be a honeymoon, it will be a holiday with a toddler.

Then... suggestions-wise, what weather are you looking for, beach, pool, city, hotel, villa...

Tbh if you want a honeymoon I'd leave the toddler behind, and if you're taking her with you I'd get a self-catering villa (with a pool) in a small seaside town in Spain or Italy.

Definitely not leaving her behind. I’m thinking hot but not too hot but don’t mind city/ beach.

When I say honeymoon I mean maybe a bit fancier than your average holiday but still good for her.

A villa might be a good option 👍🏼

It won't be a honeymoon with a toddler in tow and lots of places aimed at honeymooning couples can be adult only.
What do you normally enjoy? Maybe treat yourselves to a more luxurious version of that? I'd also steer clear of anything too hot or with a big time difference (toddler+ jetlag = nightmare)
Alternatively, leave the toddler for a few days and go for something really special

@FelicityPike

Disney?
Not what I'd recommend with a toddler: long queues, lots of rides they can't go on, huge distances to walk. Ironically, they often find the characters terrifying too!

It depends on what you enjoy I find our toddler is pretty happy doing what we want to do as long as there is a play park, boats or an aquarium.

Also depends on how long you want to go away for and budget!
We have travelled to New Zealand and Asia with our son when he was around 1

@ @Flippyferloppy Mine loved it at 2.

We took our 19 month DS on our 'honeymoon' to a beautiful cottage in Wester Ross near Achiltibuie. It was a lovely holiday but not very romantic. The room where DS stayed had thin curtains and the sun came up at 5am so that's what time he woke. DH was not very impressed with the lack of sex on said honeymoon since I was too knackered from waking up so bleeding early every day!
If you're thinking of somewhere warm then I would recommend a resort with a holiday club. If your DD is happy to be left that will give you and your new DH a bit of alone time. Otherwise, yes, it is just a holiday with a toddler.

Look at the sensatori hotels. Beautiful luxury but children very well catered for

What's the budget?
Are you thinking short haul or long haul?
We've been to Sani resort in Greece which is family friendly and very nice. They also have the Ikos brand which gets very good reviews.
Kurumba in the Maldives was very family friendly too. Not sure on weather in May.
Princess yaiza in lanzarote
GF Victoria in Tenerife
Have a look at Jet2's 'family luxe range' or the trailfinders family holidays brochure.
There's so many options, with that age you can go pretty much anywhere but agree totally it won't be your typical honeymoon! City breaks are totally doable, although it's all about limiting expectations with a toddler along with you.
