Sleepyhead Grand - confused re buckle at bottom

Got a new Sleepyhead grand which came with the an attached red warning sticker on the buckle/clip at the bottom saying you must unclip whilst in use. For transporting purposes only.

Thought that was weird because most pictures show it fastened with child inside. So had a look on their website FAQs which says...

Additionally, the infant should be placed towards the foot end of the pod with the buckle closed. This will give the baby a comforting sense of reassurance by feeling the closed bumper with his feet. It also prevents the baby from wiggling downwards. As the baby grows, they can be positioned higher up in the pod. Eventually the buckle can be unclipped as the child gets tall enough and their legs begin to outgrow the pod in the closed position.

So I'm confused. The info on their website completely contradicts the warning sticker. Any ideas?

Thanks

My guess would be an as yet un publicised safety concern which is worrying. No such sticker existed when I purchased the grand 3 years ago.

I believe it goes by the name ‘Dock a tot’ in the US so might be worth having a google.

There has always been controversy over the safety of the sleepyhead / dock a tot and a look at the fine print reveals that in America at least the company advises (or certainly used to) that the infant never be left unattended in the sleepyhead (so a waste of time for night time sleep).

I had both the infant and the grand for my first child but did not use thereafter as I grew concerned by the new guidance coming out and questioned what had prompted it.

Oh I didn't realise it was called something else in the US, I will have a look.

Thank you for your reply x
