My 10 month Wakes every night at 3am and stays awake till gone 5am I am absolutely exhausted I'm diabetic so the lack of sleep is playing havoc with my blood sugars I've tried everything sticking to a routine feeding her 3 meals she has her milk warm baths but nothing seems to work she doesn't seem to go into a deep sleep either the slightest noise Wakes her up.. I honestly don't know what else to do people say sleep when she does but that's hard as I have a house to run and another child to look after as well as home schooling it got to the point where today I actually just sat and cried 😔

I posted something similar this morning! Im in roughly the same boat as you, so I have no advice. My sympathies though.

I put her in her cot at bedtime some nights she has a bottle some nights she does not want 1

So she falls asleep by herself, alone in the room?

If that's the case, I'd be tempted to do controlled crying for the overnight wake.

ZooKeeper19 · 19/01/2021 21:28

@JenC87 how much daytime sleep she gets? And what's the time awake between nap and bedtime?

I'd not let her cry (at 10m it's really a small baby and she heeds you).

Seems she is overtired or it may also be a regression. I'd make sure she is not awake more than 3 hours before bed time. The way they fall asleep also matters, so if she has a sleep association it may mean she needs the same to fall asleep again.

My sympathies though, we have a 15mo that is not a perfect sleeper either and another due in a few weeks (shudders).

What time does she go to bed? Any mileage in nudging it later?

JenC87 · 20/01/2021 18:20

7 but that's because she wants to go to bed

Could she be waking because the temperature has dropped in her room?

Do you offer her some milk when she wakes?

To be honest I'd be tempted to stick her in bed with you at 3am and all go back off to sleep again.

ZooKeeper19 · 20/01/2021 20:23

Also the general advise is, that if your baby wakes up too early, it needs sooner bedtime, rather than later one. I'd try all possibilities, see what works.

RainbowFlowers · 20/01/2021 21:42

That sounds very difficult.

What does she do when she wakes up? If it's just tossing and turning I'd leave her to it and if she's still in your bedroom I'd put her in a different bedroom.
