Night feeding my 11 week old

My son is 11 weeks old, 6 corrected. He's still waking up every 2 hours during the night for food but when I feed him he's only drinking half his bottle or less, hence him waking up every 2 hours. He is on 120ml bottles but will only eat about 2 full ones in a 24 hour period and the rest of the time he doesn't finish them. Is there anything I can do to help him sleep longer during the night?

This is totally normal I'm afraid - he's still very little! Babies are designed to wake up throughout the night, it's actually safer for them than sleeping deeply and trying to give me milk won't help. I don't know much about ff I'm afraid but babies only have tiny stomachs to start with so generally prefer to eat little and often. Just fed whenever he wants it, I know it's knackering but it won't last forever!

give more* milk

My DD did this. She was a little but often milk drinker (FF). When we brought her home she developed mild jaundice so we were advised to set an alarm to make sure we fed her every 2 hours to flush the jaundice out. However, she'd always be up for a feed before the 2 hours were up. She did started doing longer stretches, I'd say from about 12-16 weeks onwards though. She never finished a bottle, even in the day, unless she was visibly having a growth spurt.

She is now 3.5, has about 100ml of milk with dinner, and even then doesn't finish it. She's just never been a milk monster.

What I found, in hindsight, was that I became a little concerned by how much the box or others said she should be drinking. So I became a little stressed about it, although id always feed on demand until she was fully weaned. I think with FF it's easy to get sucked into how much we think they should be having as opposed to concentrating wholly on hunger cues.

With my premature baby she started going 3 hours in the day and 2 hours at night and the neo natal nurse advised feeding her every 2 hours in the day to see if she would switch back around and it did work so after a couple of days she was going 3 hours at night. My baby was that much smaller as well so fed more often in the night for longer because her tummy was smaller .
