Nature & Nurture baby vitamins

Does anyone use these for their babies? My boy is 11 months and I’m looking at different options!

This one doesn’t contain all the extras like iron, thiamine etc - just the NHS recommendations and exact amounts recommended.

Apparently if baby has a varied diet they don’t need the rest in vitamin form!

Ok a side note, should we ditch the Ready Brek when we start vitamins as it’s fortified?

We’ve used Nature & Nature since my DD was 6 months old (breastfeeding) as they don’t have any added stuff, just what is recommended by the NHS. she’s currently just over 2 years and still has them, DS will have them too when he is old enough (not born yet!)

Thanks! I’ve bought it too. I just wasn’t sure why all the other baby vitamins on the market contain so many more vitamins and whether they would be better.

We’ve tried her with different brands when not able to get Nature & nurture but she wasn’t impressed. One absolutely stained her clothes and her cheek with the added bonus of smelling vile so I was more than happy to switch back

I’ve tasted it too and it is super sweet so not sure why other brands need colours/flavourings

Why would you ditch ready brek if they enjoy eating it?

doireallyneedaname · 14/01/2021 14:41

It’s fortified, and the vitamins contain the exact amounts recommended - I’m worried about him getting too many vitamins as it’s easy to do so with supplementation (not so much with food)

He only has ready brek because I wanted to give him fortified cereal, he enjoys normal porridge just as much.

They are not going to exceed maximum limits by eating ready brek!

Feed porridge or ready brek, it really doesn't matter

That’s not my point. If he takes a vitamin supplement daily which has the recommended dosage, AND he’s eating fortified cereal, then that would mean he was being supplemented more than is required - which can be harmful.

He would not be overdosing at the amounts he would be eating plus the supplement.
