Nah, it is hardly a traumatic experience.

MamaG · 25/10/2007 11:39

No big deal. DS obviously wasn't bothered by it so can't really see what the big deal was.

princessPUMPKINmel · 25/10/2007 11:39

So he just stood chatting to her while she was naked?

the boy I look after would have been embarrased beyond belief at 7. Not with his own family but deffo with a neighbour.

Good for him to be ok about it though.

gizmo · 25/10/2007 11:40

Different manners for different houses I reckon.

Not bothered if other kids see me naked at home. Usually tell DS not to poke his nose into other peoples bedrooms unless invited, though, because I dislike the idea of him invading other people's private space.

I think fair enough to be told he should knock. But, to be honest, I would never be naked whilst being visited by other children, not without licking my door. [snort] Locking my door, obviously. [chortle]

MerlinsBeard · 25/10/2007 11:44

she rung you while she was naked and her DC walked in?

or ami lost in translation?!

Has she got a hairy back or something?

ADragonIs4LifeNotJustHalloween · 25/10/2007 11:48

Oddly enough, the master bedroom is the only one with a proper lock on it. The children's rooms have, for some reason I can't fathom, locks which only work from the outside. I think it's something to do with security and the alarm system

Anyway, I don't think she's been unreasonable. I assume she didn't shriek and push him out. Different people have different "rules". Don't have a problem with being naked in front of my own children, but would be mortified in front of anyone else's

I think it's good that your ds wasn't too bothered. He got told off by her for it didn't he, which is what seemed to upset him most, so hopefully he'll think twice before walking in again without knocking.

Think you're right not to make a big deal of the nekkid thing - would much rather my children grow up relaxed about stuff like that than freak out at the sight of someone with no clothes on.

He didn't go up and part her buttocks for a look did he, like Mrs Mills' son?

Fair enough that your friend doesn't want your ds walking in on her when she's naked; it's her choice, after all, and she had shut the door.
