My mum died suddenly and unexpectedly in November, my kids are 4 and 7, we talk about her a lot and look at photos , but I was wondering if anyone could recommend any books to help them deal with their sadness. Also any ideas how to remember her, I can't bear to think they will forget all their memories of her over time. They were very lucky as she was very involved in their lives and they were very much loved by her. Thanks.

There’s a lovely book called Badger’s Parting Gifts which is about loss of a loved one. It shows how even when we lose someone, we don’t lose the things they taught us etc.

I’m so sorry for your loss Flowers

Lifetimes
I like this book, it explains that death is natural, all things die, and doesn't have anything about god or heaven.

I was also going to say Badgers Parting Gift. We’ve had a copy on our book shelf for decades that is read in sad times. x
