Are washables responsible for my changeling?

Started off with washables, but had to give it a break at 8 weeks due to my wrist / hand problems. I have now gone back to them after 8 weeks, but my son has changed into a child that goes nuclear if he is left to sit in something mildly moist for longer than a nanosecond. I haven't yet dare overnight him in washables in case I wake the neighbours - they already know when he's being bathed as he just loves that too.
I'm currently using MEOS with airflow, rikki or cotton bottom wraps or ME AIO dependent on how well I'm keeping up with the laundry and change him every 2 - 3 hours or sooner if necessary.

Is it just a case of letting him get readjusted to the damp feeling he was missing with disposables or am I missing something?

Do you use a fleece liner?

Beenleigh · 24/10/2007 15:19

maybe start by using disposables at night, then try when he;s a bit more used to the washables

would echo fleece liner, very good

Have been using the disposable Boots nappy liners or PHP or mio papery type dependent on what is to hand at the time.
I have just bought some washable fleece liners, but they are drying after being washed for the first time before use.
Will give them a go and let you know.

another vote for fleece liners or yoy could try the motherease stay dry liner

The fleece liners seem to have done the trick. However, today the tip of his old chap is looking a little red so I don't know if he's managed to give himself a 'carpet burn' from the fleece or if because he's not so quick to holler that it's reacting to being wet a bit longer.
He would just love it when he grows up knowing that his willy has been discussed on message boards
