Can a crawler play in the snow...?

...or will she just get wet and cold?

I want to take DS to play in the snow today but not sure what to do with DD.

DD is 10 months, very mobile, good crawler, zero interest in walking.

She has one of those puffy snow suits but I don't know how waterproof they really are. Can she sit in the snow in one? She doesn't have boots (it seemed pointless as she doesn't walk).

We have one sledge.

Anyone have ideas how to do this?

Yes.

But without proper waterproofs I probably wouldn't leave her for too long and stay close to home or the car with a change of clothes. I'm sure she'll let you know if/when she's had enough!

Sit her in the sledge and drag her along, maybe even just put a bucket of snow in there with her (like a sandpit) if she doesn't want to roam around. Have fun 😁

She'll get wet and cold and anyway. Might as well have fun whilst the snows there.

Lol she was unimpressed. She sat in the pushchair and watched for a bit then had one ride downhill on the sledge with us which she really didn't like. I tried sitting her on it both stationary and moving gently along the flat but she had had enough. Also cried if i put her down in the snow.

Luckily DH was able to come so I left him sledging with DS and took DD home.

Yes go for it, she'll be all wrapped up. For it little while it won't hurt, spare clothes and a blanket. Have a blast :) xx

Yes. Sledging on your knee on very low slope. Spade for digging. Not too long.
