Help needed with savings account or post office account question!!!

I have a 10 month old DD who we've set up a child trust fund for BUT she gets given little bits of money which we'd quite like to put in to a svaings account or a post office account. Our bank doesn't offer savings accounts until they're 7 years old - do post office accounts still exist and do you know if there are there any other options??

it the money regular? £10pm? or for birthdays/xmas etc

If its a regular thing, go for Halifax reg saver. £10pm minimum, but its 10%. And wont really affect you too much now, but do get r85 as she it exempt from tax, up to a limit, of course. As far as I know, you cant withdraw throughout year, but I set mine up so that the money is released at end november - just in time for dds birthday and xmas

Lloyds TSB does a child account - Firstsave (both my kids have one as that is where I bank). I would have thought most banks/building societies offered them.
