Hi all, when did you all move DC from a highchair to a more regular seat with a boaster seat? Also what kind of seat do you recommend?! Thanks! :)

We moved our daughter at about 16 months when she figured out how to escape the high chair ....

We have a chicco one that just straps onto the chair

DD1 was evicted when DD2 needed the highchair. Then DD2 stopped at 18monrhs.

They moved onto Junior chairs from IKea... Like normal chairs, but taller.

We went from the Ikea highchair to a BabyDan high chair but measure your table to make sure it fits under.

It is completely adjustable and we only moved DCs onto an actual dining chair when we had dropped the BabyDan seat down to the same level.

I liked the fact that it sort of grew with the child.

Should have said the seat is height adjustable as is the foot rest too.

Thanks everyone so far, will look into those options! Just realised it auto corrected the spelling to boaster not booster 🤣🤣🤣🤦‍♀️

DS is 15 months; he still uses his highchair for breakfast because it's in the kitchen but has a booster seat at the table for other meals. I much prefer it and he seems to enjoy it too. We just have a very basic one from John Lewis; didn't cost more than £15 I don't think.

We switched to a booster seat at about 17 months when he started refusing to go into the high chair. However, he started rocking backwards and forwards and toppled over the chair twice so he has now been put into a different highchair (a wooden one where the tray can be flipped so it feels like a normal chair, just higher).

Around 2, a couple of months before we needed the high chair for baby DD. We've got this one and are happy with it: www.argos.co.uk/product/7165591
