8 week injections - more calpol?

Little one had her injections at 11am. First dose at 2pm, next at 8pm. Went down for bed at 9. She has woken up at midnight, taken temperature and it's perfectly normal. A bit fussy putting her back down to sleep, but I refrained from calpol as she didn't have a temperature, assumed the fussiness was just a matter of course.

She's just taken 45 minutes to get back to sleep, not crying just being a bit fussy and fighting it. Would you have given calpol? When she wakes again should I give her a dose?

I'd probably hold off as well if she's only a little fussy and doesn't have a temperature as otherwise you'll be a bit stuck tomorrow given the instruction to only have 4 doses in 24 hours.

Should have said that I hope you're both fast asleep by now!

Thank you @INeedNewShoes she's just woken up again, taken temperature and still normal. I'm glad I held off and won't give her any this time.

Also glad that someone else would have done the same, it's reassuring to know! Hopefully she'll continue on like this and she's over the worst bit. Now time for a feed and back to sleep I think! Thank you again for your response and reassurance

She should have had 3 dosses off the calpol so you give them one before they go in one 4/6 hours after and then again 4/6 hours after! X

For the next Men B immunisation please make sure you give calpol as close to when the jab is given as possible, not hours later - this is NHS advice. It's to stop a fever before it starts. You can download the guidance leaflet here www.gov.uk/government/publications/menb-vaccine-and-paracetamol the nurse administering the jab should have told you this, not great if they haven't! I was told to give calpol 30 minutes before the jab by mine.

Thanks for the advice ladies 😊

For your second set you shouldn't need calpol unless she shows signs she needs it but your 3rd set she needs it again before and then the other 2 times 4/6 hours apart each dose! X
