Sterilising Bottles

Just transitioning to bottle feeding and want to make it as possible as it all seems a bit overwhelming.

I’ve seen a few old threads talking about how bottles stay sterile for 24 hours after sterilisation as long as they they put together and sealed straight afterwards.

Not sure if I’m being silly here but aren’t they wet after being sterilised? Do you wait for them to dry first or do you just screw together and store wet? Any advice welcome.

They are still wet but the water is sterile. If you leave them to dry then they are exposed to bacteria in the air and are no longer sterile.

I always leave them unassembled in the steriliser and just put them together as and when I need them.

I've always assembled mine in batches. I just put them all together, then dry the outside with a teatowel when I'm finished. Shake out any excess water from the inside before making up the milk.
