Child GPS tracker?

Hello,
I'm seeking some sort of GPS tracker for my 2 year old, in case he gets lost in a crowd etc. I was hoping to find a simple rubber wristband type thing with a GPS tracker in that I can link to an app on my phone. However, I'm struggling to find the sort of thing I want, which is surprising as I thought there'd be quite a market for it.

Has anybody got any recommendations of these products? Many thanks!

GPS trackers can be removed if the child is kidnapped or just doesn’t like it, and the battery operated ones go dead really quickly. In this situation I think the easiest option is physical restraint - so a harness, carrier, or parent facing pushchair with a 3 point harness. Babies that tend to go missing tend to be runners and less supervised- keeping them close if you think there’s a chance they could go missing is the only way.

You are probably better looking at devices designed for people with dementia if you really want to go down this route.
Lots of wristband / key fob type things designed for this client group linked to apps .

@HRHPP thanks, that's actually a really interesting idea!

Surrey girl, My girls are older now, but I completely empathise with the worry of possibly losing your child in a crowded area. This happened to me in a shop years ago, when my daughter was about three. Those few minutes of desperate panic were dreadful, luckily we found her. For others who question how can it happen, well it can. You only have to take your eye off them for a split second, whist you are browsing or paying and they are off exploring.

Coincidently, I am currently working with manufacturers globally to try and select - create a reliable product that can locate a toddler or child accurately. This has been close to my heart for years and I would like to do something worthwhile, happy to share when we get close to testing and launching in the UK
Best regards
Steve

Depending how long you have to walk anywhere, if you don't like reins my DS used to love pretending to be a dog complete with an extendable dog lead clipped to the back of his coat...
