Hi
I've started my lo on solids couple of weeks ago and ever since we've been getting green poos. Shes bottlefed so can rule out fore-milk thing. Any advice appreciated as I'm worried we may be upsetting her by giving solids. p.s shes not yet 6 months hence the concern.

Thinking back to weaning my 5yo, I seem to recall a rainbow of coloured poo over time and it was never an indication of anything bad.

I don't suppose that your lo has a cold, does she? I have found - with dd1 and with her 12 wo sister - that green nappies occur when they're a bit snuffly. HTH

DS2 gets green poo if he is ill and DS1 did too. Also are you feeding her green food? When you start weaning it does change the colour of it if you are.

I dont think she has a cold. So far food wise shes had carrot, apple and pear. I remember when she went from breast to bottle she had green poo for a while, so maybe its just her system getting used to food. Shes only having one lot of food a day so she shouldnt be getting overloaded. Anone else going through the same thing?

Nataz - not exactly an answer to your green poo query but I don't know if you're aware that banana seeds tend to appear as bright red flecks once they've made their way through, looking unfortunately like spots of blood in the nappy. I've yet to meet a single parent who wasn't terrified the first time this happens, so just thought I'd give you a bit of advance notice...
