Swimming pool temp, can it be too warm?

Hi, I am planning on joining water babies with my thirteen month old. I have 2 pool options, one is 35c hydrotherapy pool at a, local school, the other is a 29/30c learner pool at local baths. I love the sound of the warmer pool as I'm abit nesh, but just thinking would baby get used to the lovely warm water and find it abit of a shock then going to a cooler bath? Or am I thinking way too much about this! Lol xxx

35 is slightly cooler than a bath, so I wouldn’t worry about that.

29/30 is fine with a decent neoprene suit on though.

Id also go for the warmer pool

Go for the warm pool. My DS started to
Go blue after 10 mins in the public learner pool. He was skinny though!

Both pools are a nice temperature! You end up moving around a lot with Water Babies ( it’s my workout every week 😂) and you might actually find yourself getting a bit warm in either pool or maybe that’s just me .

My 20 month old DS has been with water babies since he was 11 weeks old swimming in 32C water and never seems bothered when swimming in colder water . He swims in swimming trunks but we put him in a wet suit when in colder waters :

Thanks for your replies, great idea about getting swimming suit for when going to cooler pools! Xxx

We do both, we have lessons in a warm hydro pool wearing a swim nappy (DC, not me, jeez that would be a sight) and also go to freezing much cooler leisure centre pool wearing a neoprene wetsuit.

Have a look at the splash about site linked above

We did water babies in a 35 degree pool. In that she just wore a swimsuit (with nappy under). When we went to a normal pool we put a wetsuit type thing on her till she was 4 so she didn't get too cold and could swim longer.

I’d go for the warmer one. My daughter is 18m and still has to wear a wetsuit in most pools. Our lessons are in a 34 degree pool and it’s lovely. In a public pool, which tend to be cooler, even with a wetsuit on she’s chilly after half an hour.
