My 13 year old child has been looking for Grand Theft Auto but I said no. He is now crying because he is left out because all of his friends are on the game and he doesn’t have anyone to play with. Did i make the right decision by saying no?

Yes and no.

If you don't think it's appropriate then of course you are right to say no, is that the only way he can play with his friends?

crumpetandtea · 26/10/2020 23:32

He says it’s the only thing they are playing at the moment but I’m just not sure if I’m being to harsh on him or if i’m being reasonable.

It's tough, have you looked at YouTube videos or anything to see what it's actually like? My immediate reaction would prob be the same but I guess it also depends on how mature your child is and how they are effected by screen time etc

If your kid is sensible let him play. I think it depends on the kid.

eatthatbueno · 26/10/2020 23:41

Depends what he does on there. A lot of it is about guns and heists etc and there are strip clubs but doesn't really matter if he doesn't go to them I suppose. It is a tough one, I know lots of people used to play it when I was younger. It's what you think is best really, OP.
