Hello I'm a first time time, my we girl is 7 months, she's started rolling about the floor like crazy and getting excited, I've noticed when she gets excited she sounds grunty as if she has trapped wind? When she's sleeping or calm her breathing is normal, no temp, no flared nostrils or ribs sucking in,
Does anyone have any idea what this could be? Could it be trapped wind she dosnt seem bothered by it but I'm starting to worry a bit, my doctors aren't taking any appointments only over the telephone, I'm going to try capture it on video today and send it to my doctor

It's hard to understand what you might mean, but when they start trying to become mobile, rolling, pushing up, trying to crawl, they often get frustrated and make noises from exertion and frustration. I would assume it's that? I wouldn't assume a grunty noise was related to trouble breathing, so I wouldn't necessarily thing it was anything to be worried about, but obviously trust your gut because you know your baby better than anyone.

My HV told me to look at how baby is in themselves to rationalise, so if she’s happy and overexcited she may just be expressing it or like PP said frustrated or knackered after all the movement

My DS was hospitalised and intubated at 6 weeks old with RSV so I used to worry about breathing too x
