Hello, I've noticed that Pampers have suddenly got rid of their premium nappies which where the only ones which we found didn't leak 😒 Have you any recommendations for good leakproof nappies (we are a size 5)? Thanks in advance.

I’ve used Pampers pants with DS (2) for the last 18 months or so and had no issues with them for day or night use. Just the standard Pampers ones, not the premium ones.

Thanks, we tried the normal ones and they leaked like mad for us. He needed changing all the time otherwise it was a change of clothes 😔

Sainsbury's own brand. They're quite long in the body and never leaked for us

Try going up a size or 5+

Pampers are just changing the name of their pampers premium. They are now known as Pampers active fit nappies in size 3-6. I got one of the old packs the other day it had the info inside. They are also making the tabs slightly wider.

I've personally found Pampers are the only bloody ones that leak.

Aldi's are great and so much cheaper.

Ladybird345 · 17/10/2020 15:44

Thank you everyone. We will do abit of trial and error I think 😊
@niclw I wonder if they are exactly the same? Will have to pick up a pack and see

Aldi nappies are the best definitely try a 5+ and a lot cheaper.

Pampers pure work for us. Get them on deal and its not too bad. They have more cotton.

focushocuspocus · 17/10/2020 16:00

Libero nappies go up past size 5 if none of the supermarket ones end up being suitable, you can buy them online.

niclw · 17/10/2020 18:36

@Ladybird345 They seem to be the same. I've just got some more in the last hour. I only use these ones at night time now as I've found size 6 a nightmare to get hold of without ordering from Boots. We use the Pampers baby dry in the day time which are slightly smaller sizing and aren't as absorbent but I can change them sooner. He'll be moving into size 7 baby dry soon despite only just turning two (he is huge for his age).

Ladybird345 · 17/10/2020 20:28

@niclw thank you for letting me know. Is there any difference at all? I wish companies would just stop changing things unnecessarily 🙄
We use a five all the time but can't use the normal baby dry as they just leak even with very frequent changes (LO likes to drink a lot) but I'm thinking of maybe using a six at night as occasionally we get leaks with five premium ones (but only at night) 🤷‍♀️ it's like a guessing game!

Thank you everyone for your recommendations, are the non Pampers nappies really good at full nighttime protection for a LO who drinks a lot?

We've always used aldi. If you're getting leaks then go up a size

1940s · 18/10/2020 20:50

How old is your child? What clothes size are they in?

niclw · 18/10/2020 20:51

@Ladybird345 They are identical except the tabs. The new ones are purple and slightly wider.

I wish you luck finding nappies that work for your LO. I used aldi until my DS needed size 4. I found they no longer fitted him well so caused leaks. I have also tried the Tesco ones. I find them ok for short periods of time but definitely not for night time.
