Where do u get clothes

Where do u mainly buy clothes for your children from? Just curious. I have a 2.5 year old and a 2 month old both boys

With my eldest I was very much of the opinion that primark was fine as they outgrew the clothes so much anyway. But as time went on ive moved now to M&S and next as I find their clothes much nicer designs and variety and better quality. My mum always gifts my boys these more expensive clothes too which is what got me thinking as her clothes she gifted were always so nice. I find primark a bit hit and miss.

I don't want to throw money away but I want my boys looking nice too. I do often hunt for these makes on eBay too so that it's good brands for cheap

@sleepingstandingup same on the footless sleepsuits, but for my very long legged boy!

Toontown · 08/10/2020 08:22

I'm very lucky that l get hand me downs. Any extras I need I get eBay bundles for.

Frugi. Everything I get is from Frugi, it washes brilliantly and I sell it on after its grown out of. Nothing compares in comfort, style and value.
Agree with this. They're expensive to buy at full price but reasonable in the sales or special offers. Resale value is excellent (even damaged or faded frugi will sell on Facebook or Ebay if it's priced right) and it lasts. My kids have some which ate second or even third hand and still look new

Sainsburys, boden, fat face, joules and next. I occasionally get some clothes from h&m. I buy stuff in the sales and also on ebay but mostly the same brands.

Caspianberg · 08/10/2020 13:31

H and m or Zara for most things so far. H and m seems good for poppered vests and cardigans. Zara for knitted dungarees, and nice leggings. Next and m and s for sleepsuits.
All ordered online and delivered.

LaBellina · 08/10/2020 13:33

H&M

Baby store
GAP (outlet or sale)

Hi Smile
I have 2 children, aged 5 and 3 and when they were babies I bought most of there stuff from primark or asda, I really liked primark and asda clothes back then but the quality probably didn't end up going bad that fast bevause babies grow so quickly so things are hardly worn as I had lots and lots of stuff.

Now they are 5 and 3,we are a bit more finically stable, I do still shop in primark occasionally dont get me wrong, it's not really about the price of things but I find 1) that clothes shrink after being washed 2) I always need to size up with the kids clothes as they always seem to be on the smaller side tops wise ( pants are fine) and the main reason is that when primark clothes are washed a lot they go tatty very quickly, which I guess is OK as the prices are quite cheap. However now I have started getting their clothes from places such as Next as there quality is very good, sometimes h and m, I love tu at sainsburys and also nutmeg at morrisons have some really lovely stuff and they are the main places I've just bought all my kids new winter clothes from. I honestly find that now a days primark clothes are not much cheaper than next or other places so might aswell just go with the other places for the quality and for the sake of it lasting longer.

Sainsburys, H and M, Frugi, Kite, Maxomorra and Duns of Sweden are my main places to shop, I get the latter from independent online retailers like www.visitevasworld.co.uk , www.yesbebe.co.uk , and www.babipur.co.uk. I buy some Jojo maman bebe and John Lewis but as my closest store for each is an hour away so I don't get as much from there.

Queenfreak · 08/10/2020 18:20

The vast majority of my daughters stuff is second hand- either from her cousin, or preloved online.
I tend to buy ethical & organic clothing- scandi brands and frugi/kite. It all lasts well and I'm generally able to sell on.

tempnamechange98765 · 08/10/2020 19:32

Next, M&S, H&M and Supermarkets (Sainsbury's mainly, they get gifts from MIL from Tesco) for things like jeans/trousers/tops etc. My own DM tends to buy Boden and JoJo Maman Bebe.

I've got two boys age 4 and 1.5 and as DS2 gets everything of DS1's, I've started to invest more in the more expensive stuff because it does last better. DS1 has a Joules zip up hoodie which he's had for 18 months and is still in good condition! So I've just started buying his coats and certain things in places like Boden, Joules, Fat Face, Muddy Puddles, in the hope that they will last really well to pass on to DS2.

doireallyneedaname · 09/10/2020 22:42

Mori clothes are lovely quality.

AegonT · 11/10/2020 14:49

A total mix. My daughter is 5 now. Some more expensive stuff like Boden, Jojo, Frugi and John Lewis but usually on sale. Also the occasional designer dress bought on sale (at least half-price) for special occasions. Quite a lot of M&S, Next and GAP outlet. Also quite alot of supermarket clothes, particularly Tu at Sainsbury's but Nutmeg at Morrisons has some nice stuff too.

AegonT · 11/10/2020 14:50

Also quite alot of my daughter's clothes come from the "boys" range, particularly denim items, shorts and plain T-shirts.

FizzingWhizzbee123 · 11/10/2020 18:55

Really like Next clothes. Odd bit of H&M and occasionally GAP (in sale).

Fair amount from supermarkets, I like TU

Primark for nursery clothes
