I think it varies a lot. Is there anything in particular that you’re worried about?

Take a look at the ages and stages questionnaire (google asq 30 months). You can find the scoring sheets online too. Most children are in the “provide extra activities” zone for a couple of the areas so don’t panic if you don’t “pass” all of them.

We did loads of these as dc3 was high risk of developmental delay. You need to take the results with a pinch of salt (or a cheerio held with two fingers) but they give a broad overview of what the professionals expect.

Just seen the age was wrong. There are asq for all ages- see here steeplechasepedi.com/patient-corner/forms/ages-stages-questionnaires/

Thank you, yeah sorry sausage fingers on the age. She's 20 months old. Not worried in anything in particular just worried that as the childminder has had only her over the summer and only just got two more children (she's decided to only open for her key workers families) hence small number, she may be missing out on developmental or social stuff.

We do loads with her at home and outside the home it's just things like toilet training/sleeping/eating/playing etc

Plenty of kids don’t do nursery at all until age 3. Small groups are ideal for 2 yo in my opinion. Big groups have been shown to raise stress.

Also don’t worry about toilet training. Mine have been anywhere from 2 to 3.5. They all get there in their own time.

The asq will give you an idea of motor skills, speech and social skills that are normal for that age.
