Endless night wakings

At my absolute wits end. Put DS 16months to bed at usual bed time of 7pm and like almost every night for the past month he has been awake every 45mins - 90mins. Low grade fever that has come and gone over that time but it's getting ridiculous now as there's no rhyme or reason to the nights he wakes up 2/3 times vs every 45 mins. I am at a loss on what else to try

White noise,
Adjusting naps,
Adjusting bed time,
Quiet time before bed,
Letting him sleep on me

All failing miserably. He's currently wailing the house down. I don't usually let him CIO but this can't go on.

Has anyone experienced the same? What helped bring about a turning point for you?
Thanks for reading

Is he teething? If so some baby nurofen before bed might help.

Hi,

My first DS used to wake constantly through the night and it was torture so you have my full sympathy! It’s exhausting and frustrating when you can’t see any solution. I only survived through co-sleeping for second half of the night which I know isn’t for everyone but does mean you feel more rested as you’re not up and down all night! Also do you have a partner who can share some of the load? When DS realised I wasn’t coming every time, he woke less.

If it’s any consolation, they do grow out of it! DS is now 2 and sleeps all night in his own room x

@GrumpyHoonMain I feel like he is forever teething, but I didn't think it could affected his sleep as significantly as this. No temperature, but skin was quite hot to touch and sweaty. I had already given calpol and nurofen. Extra milk, etc

@S12M partner is very hands on thankfully. But once he's screaming the house down taking it in turns goes out of the window as we're both already awake iyswim. I made do last night by eventually sleeping on the sofa with DS, but even then he was still waking up screeching!
I end up feeling useless because I find myself wishing he was older so we can get out of this stage.

@Letsallscreamatthesistene I won't lie - there was a tiny smirk when I wrote it. Especially given some of the more recent threads - it wasn't entirely by accident.

I think I was mainly looking for a logical reason "WHY" this was all of a sudden happening, and where I am going wrong fixing it. 😩😩
