Hardest Thing About Being A Parent?

At the moment I would say it’s trying to deal with boundary pushing. DD11 is very strong willed to start with then add in hormones, starting year 7 & having to self isolate because a fellow pupil has tested positive & it’s a tough old time. Needless to say I am tending to open a bottle of wine rather early!

I agree with the comments about it being constant, or relentless.
However difficult your paid job is, you have a clocking off time, and days off, and then annual leave, and, if need be, sick leave. As a parent, there isn't that break.

the hardest thing for me though, when they were little, was the sleep deprivation. I can come with most of what life has to throw at me when I've had my beauty sleep, but everything is worse when you don't get a good night's sleep, ever.

My girl is 10 , 11 in February and in Year 6 and she is a “only child”, just thought I would mention it.
She is a absolute nightmare, I mean so very cheeky to me and I just wonder what happened to my little girl??
The other morning we were running to catch the bus to school and when we got on the bus and sat down she told me I was embarrassing her as I was out of breath ????😬🙁🙄
Yes I was a bit out of breath, but Not collapsing on the bus .lol
I blame this Tick Tok .
Hahaha
Any thoughts ??

Agree it's the relentlessness of it that is the hardest thing.

Lack of sleep. Not being able to do anything in peace.

For me it’s having that huge responsibility for another human being in every way imaginable, no matter how old they are it’s always a responsibility as a parent to make sure everything is okay with them

Imagine a full time job, where the hours are 24/7 and you cant take any holiday, and you've pretty much imagined parenting
