3 month old through the night

Hi, my DD is 3 months old and we have a genuinely great routine going on, she started to sleep from 11-7 on the night times which is fantastic or it would be if I was getting that amount of sleep too but I’m a really light sleeper and throughout the night my DD will wake up and start smacking her lips and kicking her cot really hard (she’s still asleep when she’s doing this). Sometimes i have picked her up and cuddled her and it got her back to sleep and other times I’ve thought that she’s wanted a feed but when I’ve gone to give her a bottle she doesn’t touch any of it so she is clearly not hungry. I struggle really badly when I’m sleep deprived and was just wondering if anyone knew why she is doing this and if there’s anything I can do to get her to stop without picking her up (I’ve already tried a dummy)
TIA

Earplugs for you.
Is there a partner in the household who can be in the room with them so you can get some solid sleep, even for a few hours?

@Harrysmummy246 thanks for the reply. I have earplugs but didn’t know if this was dangerous to use incase I didn’t wake if something was wrong. And I stay in the spare bedroom once every week and my partner looks after her for the night, it’s different for him though as he’s a very heavy sleeper.

I feel for you - I was the same and I literally barely slept. I wouldn’t personally wear earplugs either for the reason you’ve set out.
I’m not sure there is a solution but it will get easier - we moved our babies into their own room with a monitor at 6 months and I slept a lot better, maybe consider doing the same? Good luck x

Oh god it's he'll is it it. My son was exactly the same. I would lie there for hours wide awake listening to him grunting and groaning. Lifting his legs up and smashing them down and just being really loud. Who ever invented the 'slept like a baby ' needs to be shot. I once recorded him, wish I could send it you. He's 7 months now and I don't hear a peep x

I was in your shoes OP
DS sounded like a ferral bear in his sleep and everyone told me to wear earplugs but I was terrified incase I didn’t hear him.

Get the cheap foam earplugs, I think the brand is ‘moldex’ on amazon. I find them a wonderful compromise, they will block out a bit of noise but if DS sneezes, coughs or cries I’m wide awake. They block out just enough noise to be helpful but not dangerous x

I used light cheap foam earplugs. They don’t block out much at all but can help muffle the snorting etc that newborns can make.
